Title: Vickers Vildebeest

The Vickers Vildebeest was a large 2/3 seat military bi-plane which first flew in 1928 and was intended as a land-based torpoedo bomber. Development was protracted due to problems with the initial engine selection and production aircraft did not enter service until 1933. 209 examples were built but their service life was short as the age of the biplane was ending and they were obsolete by the start of WW2.  Some saw active service in the far east but all had been withdrawn from service by 1942.

This title contains two RAF Air Publications (Volume One – Descriptive & Servicing Manual) for two variants of the Vickers Vildebeest, (it was too early to have pilot’s notes), along with a nice manufacturer’s brochure on the aircraft. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages.
