Title: Douglas O-2 and O-38

The Douglas O-2 was a single-engined 1920’s biplane powered by the famous Liberty engine. It was initially developed as an observation aircraft but later versions used different engines and had different roles including transport and liaison.

A total of 879 were eventually built, and they were exported to China and Mexico. When re-engined with the Curtiss Conqueror engine they were designated O-25. A modernised development of the O-25 using the Pratt & Whitney R1690 engine was designated O-38. 156 examples of the O-38 were built, some of which were still in service at the time of Pearl Harbor in 1941.

This title contains the manufacturer’s Instruction Manuals for the Douglas O-2 series, the O-2M (in Spanish) and the O-38B. The files have been scanned from the original documents and retain any colour pages.
