Title: Dewoitine D520

The Dewoitine D520 was a French WW2 fighter which first flew in 1938 and entered service in 1940. Built around the most powerful French engine available, which was lighter but less powerful than its contemporaries, it came close to being a match for aircraft like the Bf109E, but was available in too small numbers to make a difference in the Battle of France.

The type continued in service with both French forces after 1940, and was returned to production in 1942 when examples were operated by the Luftwaffe, the Italian and Bulgarian air forces. In later years it served as a trainer with the Armee de L’Air and the last examples were retired in the early 1950’s.

This title contains the Descriptive and Operating manual for the Dewoitine D520, along with a specifications table and the Aircraft Profile covering the type. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages unless otherwise stated.
