BOEING XPBB-1 SEA RANGER

$9.95

Title: Boeing XPBB-1

The XPBB-1 was developed during WW2 by Boeing as an extremely long-range patrol aircraft able to cover the entire pacific area. It was at the time the largest twin-engine aircraft developed in the US and first flew in July 1942.

However by the time the aircraft flew long-range land-based aircraft were able to conduct the mission intended for the XPBB-1 and the production space allocated was needed for the production of B-29 bombers. Only a single example was built, inevitably nicknamed the “lone ranger”, which served as a trials aircraft with the US Navy until its retirement in 1947, and subsequent scrapping.

This title contains the manufacturer’s pilot’s handbook for the Boeing XPBB-1. The file has been scanned from the original flight manual and retains any colour pages.
