BELL AH-1 COBRA

$9.95

Title: AH-1 Cobra No 1 and 2

The ubiquitous Bell UH-1 “Huey” is probably the most well-known helicopter both visually, following its service in Viet Nam and appearance in news telecasts and numerous films, and aurally, with it’s distinctive “whump whump” sound.

In 1965 Bell initiated development of a dedicated attack version, mating a new narrow tandem seating fuselage to the basic rotor /powerplant package. Designated AH-1 and named HueyCobra, the new helicopter saw extensive service with the US Army and also with the US Marine Corps. Like the UH-1, it has been extensively developed through several models. The US Army variants were single-engined but have now been retired. The USMC variants were usually twin-engined and were known as the SuperCobra.

We offer two titles covering the US Army and US Marine Corps series of AH-1 military attack helicopters. The first title contains two US Army pilot manuals and one manufacturer’s brochure, and the second contains two USMC pilot manuals and one manufacturer’s brochure. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages unless otherwise stated. Each title is US$9.95.
