BRITISH AEROSPACE JETSTREAM J31

Title:  British Aerospace Jetstream J31 No’s 1 and 2

The Jetstream J31 is a twin-turboprop pressurised commuter airliner, designed in the 1970’s by Handley-Page, the last major British aircraft company building aircraft that was not part of the Hawker Siddeley or British Aircraft Corp conglomerates. Unfortunately, escalating costs and protracted development of the aircraft led to  bankruptcy of the company.

Development was taken over by Scottish Aviation who themselves became part of British Aerospace in 1978. The aircraft found success in the 1980’s and over 400 were eventually built. The original aircraft scored a rare success with a USAF order as the C-10, but none were delivered before the order was cancelled. Small batches of both main variants served with the RAF and Royal Navy as trainers.

We offer two titles for this elegant aircraft. The first title contains the RAF Flight Manual (titled Aircrew Manual) for the early Astazou powered Jetstream T.Mk.1 along with a manufacturer’s Flight Guide and a nice manufacturer’s colour brochure. The second title contains the RAF Flight Manual (titled Aircrew Manual) for the later Garrett powered Jetstream T.Mk.3, which is based on the civil BAe Operating Manual in two volumes, along with two manufacturer’s colour brochures. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages. Each title is US$9.95.
