Titles: General Dynamics F-111 No’s 1 to 3

Developed under the TFX program the F-111 was an extremely controversial program initially due to early losses of aircraft and massive cost escalations. The aircraft first flew in 1964 and 563 examples were eventually produced, mostly for the USAF except for a few development examples of the cancelled US Navy F-111B and 24 examples delivered to the RAAF. The aircraft was controversially ordered for the RAF as the F-111K to replace the cancelled TSR2 program before being cancelled itself.

The aircraft pioneered a number of new technologies for production aircraft, including variable-sweep wings, crew escape pod, after-burning turbofan engines and terrain-following radar. The aircraft was used in a number of different roles and served with the USAF until 1997, and with the RAAF until 2010.

We offer three Titles covering most variants of the aircraft including the US Navy and RAAF variants. The files have been scanned from the original manuals and retain any colour pages unless otherwise stated. Each title is US$9.95.
