Title: Potez Air Fouga CM170 Magister Nos 1 and 2

The CM170 was developed by the Air Fouga company to build on work carried out by Pierre Maubousin who was known for fitting small jet engines to light aircraft and gliders. The prototype first flew in 1952 and at the time was the first purpose-built turbojet powered trainer. Production in France stopped in 1962 but the type continued to be built under licence in Finland and Israel. A total of 929 were eventually produced, 288 under licence.

The first title contains two flight manuals for the CM170 Magister aircraft, both in English, and a manufacturers brochure. The second title contains a flight manual for the CM170 in French, and to give value, the flight manual for the navalised variant of the CM170, the CM175, also in French. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages, unless otherwise stated.

Description

Title 1 contains:

    • Pilot’s Handbook for the Fouga CM170 aircraft as used by the Belgian Air Force. In the English language. There are two separate volumes to this manual:
      – Text – undated with approx 106 pages.
      – Illustrations – dated June 59 with approx 85 pages of illustrations to accompany the text volume.
    • Luftwaffe Flight Manual for the CM170R, in English. GAF T.O. 1T-CM-170R-1 dated 1-1-66 revised to 1-5-67 with approx 125 pages. (Scanned from a copy.)
    • Manufacturer’s brochure for the CM170, in English, undated with approx. 24 pages.

Title 2 contains:

    • Manuel de L’Equipage for the Fouga CM 170 as supplied to Togo. In the French language. There are two separate volumes to this manual:
      – Textes – dated 1975 revision 06/77, with approx. 128 pages of the flight manual text.
      – Planches – dated 1975 revision 06/77, with approx. 97 pages of illustrations to accompany the text volume.
    • Manuel de L’Equipage for the Fouga CM 175 as used by the Aeronavale. In the French language. There are two separate volumes to this manual:
      – Textes – dated February 1960 with approx. 138 pages of the flight manual text.
      – Planches – dated February 1960 with approx. 78 pages of illustrations to accompany the text volume.
