Description
Title 1 contains:
- Pilot’s Flight Operating Instructions for the MIG-21bis (75b), undated with approx. 229 pages. (In English). This was produced for export versions of the aircraft to a Middle East customer. (Has Arabic stamps on it.)
- Operating Instructions for the MIG-21bis (Item 75b), Book One – Aircraft and Systems (Maintenance manual). This is an English manual produced for an export customer, obtained covertly by the US DoD and released internally as a US Intelligence Information Report. Dated 28 June 1976 with approx. 486 pages. A copy of the original Secret report. (There are four books in the Operating Instructions set, we have only book one.) See page 14 for a summary of applicable publications.
- Technical Description Manual, Book One – Aircraft Flight Characteristics, for the Mig-21bis (Item 75a). Approx. 129 pages in the original Russian. (There are five books in the Technical Description set, we only have book one.)
- Aerial Tactics for the Fishbed C/E (MIG-21). This is an English translation of the original Russian manual produced by the Foreign Technology Division of the USAF Systems Command. Report FTD-TT-64-883 dated 5 Nov 1965 with approx. 265 pages. A copy of the original Secret report.
- Aircraft Profile No 238 covering the MIG-21 “Fishbed” variants, undated (but probably early 1970’s) with 25 pages. (Written in the days when information on Russian aircraft was very scarce.)
Title 2 contains:
- Pilot’s Flight Operating Instructions for the MIG-21UM (MIG-21US) two seat trainer, dated 1975 with approx. 225 pages. (In English). Another export manual, scanned from a copy.
- Instruction Manual for the Mig-21UM, approx. 128 pages dated 1973 in the original Russian. (Looks related to combat and the gunsight.)
- Technical Description Manual, Book One – Aircraft Flight Characteristics, for the Mig-21UM. Approx. 172 pages dated 1975 in the original Russian. (There are five books in the Technical Description set, we only have book one.)
- Training manual titled “Methodical Manual Pilot Technique” for the MIG-21PF, dated 1966, with approx. 226 pages. (In the Russian language.)
- Training Manual for the MIG-21PF. Album of Visual Aids – Part 1 – Operation and Pilot Technique. A3 sized manual with illustrated procedures on flight and combat in the MIG-21PF.
