Title: Hindustan HJT-16 Kiran
The HJT-16 was developed by Hindustan as an intermediate trainer for the Indian Air Force and bears a remarkable resemblance to the British Jet Provost aircraft, and uses the same Rolls-Royce Viper turbojet. The aircraft first flew in 1964 and entered service in 1968.
190 examples were built, and unlike the Jet Provost, the aircraft remained in operational service with the Indian Air Force for more than 50 years.
This title contains the flight manual (titled Pilot’s Notes) for the Kiran, as used by the Indian Air Force (in English) along with a manufacturer’s publicity brochure, also in English. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages.
