HAWKER SIDDELEY P1127 KESTREL HARRIER

$9.95

Titles: Hawker Siddeley Harrier No 1 and 2

Based around the unique Rolls-Royce Pegasus vectored-thrust turbofan engine the Harrier was the first practical VTOL jet attack aircraft. First flown in 1960 as a research aircraft known as the P.1127, six prototypes were built, three of which were subsequently lost in non-fatal accidents. Nine examples of an improved version known as as the Kestrel were then built, also used for evaluation including a combined UK/US/German evaluation squadron. An operational version known as the Harrier entered service with the RAF in 1969.

Six of the original Kestrel aircraft were sent to the USA for further evaluation, as the XV-6. The US Marines recognised it’s unique capabilities and it entered service with the Marines in 1975.

We offer two titles for the Harrier. This first includes the flight manuals for the development P1127 and Kestrel aircraft along with a manufacturer’s booklet and the Aircraft Profile, and the second includes the flight manuals for the operational AV-8A and the equivalent British Harrier GR 1. The files have been scanned from the original flight manuals and retain any colour pages. Each title is US$9.95.
